We experimented with the wood pellet version, and cooked up some amazing pizzas outside with our friends. Here’s the thing, these ovens get hot – like fire of a thousand suns hot. They heat up in 12-15 minutes and pizzas are cooked in as little as 60 seconds flat. Now if you’re like us, time’s a factor – and well, we’re just generally impatient all around. So this is a game changer. And while you can’t just leave these outside like you do your grill (well, we do anyway), we do use them all year round. We fired ours up even in frigid winter temps, cooking up pizzas for the kids while they skated in the backyard hockey rink. Even our friend who doesn’t care for pizza (we know, sounds crazy, right?) loved a burrata, prosciutto, arugula we fired up, drizzled with balsamic glaze and paired with a glass of wine. So good.
