The Pappy Van Winkle 10 Year product is called Old Rip Van Winkle. It is bottled nearly at at barrel proof with a little water added to bring it down to 107 Proof.
The nose is is sweet vanilla and carmel with some oak notes. The taste is unbelievably smooth with fruit and oak coming through. The finish is long with spice and smoke shining through.
While it is the cheapest of the Pappy products, that doesn’t make it any easier to find.
